Root touch-up or all-over color?
There are two ways to cover gray with color, and the right one depends on where your hair is today.
- Root touch-up: Lina colors only the roots, where the new growth and the grays show. It can be a good fit if you already like the color through your lengths and just want the regrowth to match.
- All-over color: one even color from roots to ends. It can be a good fit if this is your first time coloring your grays, if you want a new shade, or if your ends no longer match your roots.
Not sure which to book? That's what the color consultation is for. Lina checks your hair, tells you which option makes sense for you and gives you the price before she starts.

How your appointment works, and how long it takes

Color consultation
A short visit of about 20 min. We talk about what you want, Lina checks your hair and gives you a price.

Strand test, if needed
Lina may ask for a strand test before your first color. It's done in person.

Your color appointment
Request your root touch-up or all-over color for a day that works for you. Color appointments need at least one day of notice, and Lina confirms the time.
A root touch-up takes about 1 hr 30 min. All-over color takes 2 hr to 3 hr, depending on your hair length. Lina confirms your time when you book.
You can change or cancel for free up to 24 hours before. Read our appointment policies.
How often will you need a touch-up?
It depends on how fast your hair grows and how much your grays contrast with your color. At your appointment, Lina will tell you what schedule works for you.
Before your appointment: what to bring
- A photo of your current color in good light and, if you like, photos of shades you love.
- If you color at home, the box or a photo of the color you use.
- If your hair has box dye, henna, a smoothing treatment or another recent chemical service, let Lina know at your appointment.
- Questions about your hair and color history happen in person, at the consultation. We never ask for that information online.

Will the color cover all my grays?
It depends on your hair. Every head of hair takes color a little differently, especially when there's a lot of gray. At the consultation Lina checks your hair and tells you what to expect before she starts.
How much does gray coverage cost?
Price on consultation. Lina confirms the full price before she starts, with no extra fees.
How long is the appointment?
It depends on the service and your hair length. The service list shows an approximate time for each, and Lina confirms yours when you book.
I color my hair at home. Can I still come in?
Of course. Bring the box or a photo of the color you use and mention it at your appointment. If your roots and ends look very different, Lina may suggest starting with a color consultation.
Can I book just a root touch-up?
Yes. If Lina already does your color, request a root touch-up directly and she'll confirm the time. If it's your first visit, start with the color consultation.
Do you speak Spanish?
Yes. Lina works in Spanish and English, whichever you prefer.
